                                          Now YOU are invited!

Welcome! In June, 2020, the reenactor leadership of Camden, South Carolina’s annual first-full-weekend-in-November Revolutionary War reenactment event voted to move their event to a larger venue in Kershaw County, fourteen miles north of the City of Camden.

The core leadership team created a 501c3 non-profit corporation to manage the annual Reenactment Event but also created an educational arm or their organization called Liberty LiveSM.

Revenue raised by the annual reenactment would in turn fund the year-round Liberty Livesm program. Initially retaining the traditional event name, the board decided to rename the annual fundraising reenactment event to “Battle of CamdenSM,” as this is what our reenactors, the core of our event, have been calling this reenactment for years. With a board consisting of reenactors and 18th century demonstrators, this was an easy decision.

Because of this, we will also be changing our corporate name to fit both the Battle of CamdenSM reenactment event and our year-round educational program, Liberty LiveSM. This new non-profit name has not been determined but will be forthcoming soon. In the meantime, this website will use the event name until a suitable and appropriate corporate name is determined.

While the names of the event, (now Battle of CamdenSM), and the new still-to-be-determined non-profit corporate name will change, the mission, vision, and values will stay the same.

Our mission remains to Provide living history experiences that educate, entertain, and inspire. We aim to be the region’s leading organization for advocacy, promotion, and production of American Colonial and Revolutionary era living history events.

Join us Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 6-8, 2020, for our 50th Annual Reenactment of the Battle of Camden for the 240th Anniversary of the Battle.

Friday we will be having a special school days presentation.  We will have reenactors, demonstrators and merchants alike all set up and ready to create a memorable representation of the 18th century.

Join us Saturday and Sunday for two whole days of life in the 18th century.  Moving out into the county has provided us a more realistic and primitive event without all the traffic and extra noise associated with an in-town event.  We are spreading out the camps, merchants and even the battlefield to allow ample room for social distancing.

As we continue to prepare for an amazing weekend of 18th century come-to-life, we are inviting you to join us for a once in a lifetime national anniversary event!

What a memorable way to spend a weekend!
