Mr. Alexis Dekeyser, Secretary
Mr. Alexis Dekeyser is a Graduate of The University of South Carolina School of Business with a Degree in Management . Mr Dekeyser was born in Jette, a Municiplaity of Brussels and was exposed at a young age to the History of the Region. These early experiences gave him a deep appreciation for History. He has been a Living Historian for the past 31 years, with an emphasis on the American War of Independence and the French and Indian War. He has been a member of the 2nd SC, Brtiish Marines , and Compaginie De La Marine . He was also a founding member of the Hesse-Kassel Jager Korps, a 501c3 Corporation, and served as Commander and Treasurer. At present he is the Commander/Treasurer of the British Legion / 63 Regiment of Foot Captain Balls Company, a South Carolina Non-Profit Corporation. Mr. Dekeyser has also been an extra in various Commercial TV and National Park Service Films. He has also helped Coordinate Events for Historic Camden, The City of Greensboro Guilford’s Courthouse Event, Musgrove Mills State Historic Site, Old Towne North Augusta Living History Park, Walnut Grove Plantation and various other events throughout the Southeast. Mr. Dekeyser also served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and Reserve Police Officer for 16 years and won Several Awards for his Service.
