Always held on the first full weekend of November, the year 2020 marks a very important event – the 50th anniversary of the Revolutionary War Field DaysSM. Annually, a group of passionate reenactors recreate historically accurate dramatic battles and associated battle camp life that were such an important part of colonial America, a tradition in Kershaw County, SC for a half of a century.  In addition to military reenactments, walking through both Crown and Patriot camps and demonstration sites provides a veritable time-travel experience. You’ll see the life through the eyes of revolutionary war era soldiers, but as camp followers, merchants, craftsmen and citizens. A variety of events produced throughout the day features authors, demonstrations of everyday 18th Century life.  colonial handicrafts, and craftsmen of a bygone era. Education and entertainment combine to create a unique immersive experience you and your family will remember for years to come.

In addition to our reenactment productions, Revolutionary War Field DaysSM has developed educational program for school children, 3rd grade to high school. Hands on learning and understanding how the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution with its Bill of Rights, still applies to all U.S. citizens with local, regional, national, and international significance. These programs can be requested to be conducted as either a field trip or as a field day on school grounds.


Revolutionary War Field DaysSM announces a new location for their Revolutionary War Field Days event planned November 6-8, 2020. Rev War Field DaysSM will continue to be held, despite some fierce competition from other communities in and outside of South Carolina, in Kershaw County, South Carolina. Mark your calendars now for this 50th anniversary event, pandemic allowing, with a variety of new and exciting, family friendly, activities, demonstrations, quality 18th C. reproduction merchandise, and, naturally, the fourth largest Revolutionary War battle reenactment in the U.S. and the largest in the Southeast region.
